Ok, this post has nothing to do with the title. See my timetable up there? On Monday I have a night class until 8 PM. And on Tuesday, oh Tuesday is full of lectures from 8-16 nonstop, not even a lunch break! But after that looks like I have a very long weekend, hehe.

So this is the summary of all the classes I’ve taken this far.

  1. Machine Learning, Expert System, and Fuzzy Logic. This is extremely good. I take the night class, which has fewer students. A 15-minutes break is usually spent by running to my apartment, do maghrib prayer, and running back to the class. But fortunately I have talked about this to the lecturer and he’s fine with me coming back a bit later.
  2. Languages, Automata, and Compilers. For this semester we will only study formal languages and automata. Lectures on compilers will be held in next semester. Well, this should be pretty easy, but I kind of hate the lecturer and how he makes interesting stuff scary to those bachelor kids by saying “if you can’t do this, you will fail” all the time.
  3. Seminar Presentation. This will be full of reading, writing, and speaking, Duh. I will definitely hate this class.
  4. Semantics for Language Technology. This is rather relaxing. All the philosophical talks about semantics, meanings, and definitions? It is a perfect time to daydream :)
  5. Logic Programming. I’ve learned Prolog before, so hopefully I’m still familiar with this stuff. Today’s class was fun, a lot of jokes.
  6. Corpora and Statistical Methods. This is my last class on Tuesday, which means I’m already exhausted and overwhelmed with too much information. The lecturer is the same from the Semantics for Language Technology class. I think in time I will like it. Today I was only half listening of linguistics stuff. But the probabilistic is fine though.
  7. Concepts of AI. So basically I’m not registered for this course because it will leave me with too much credits. But I came to this class last week and it was pretty interesting, so maybe I will just sit in this class and listen.

There they are. I still have two more courses (Finite State Machinery and Morphology, and Advanced Issues in LCT 1), but they won’t start until November-December, so I don’t have to worry until then.

So far I think this is quite fun. Wish me luck :)
